Event Policy

Rim Locals is dedicated to hosting a variety of events that benefit our local community, foster professional growth, and promote positive interaction among participants. This Event Policy sets forth the terms and conditions under which Rim Locals organizes, manages, and conducts events.

By attending, participating, or registering for an event hosted by Rim Locals, you agree to comply with this policy.

1. Event Registration

  • All participants must complete the registration process for an event through the Rim Locals platform or any other designated registration platform.
  • Registration may be required for certain events, and space may be limited. Early registration is recommended.
  • Registration fees, if applicable, must be paid in full prior to attending the event unless otherwise specified.

2. Code of Conduct

Participants in Rim Locals events are expected to:

  • Treat all event attendees, speakers, organizers, and partners with respect and courtesy.
  • Engage in constructive, professional, and respectful discussions.
  • Follow the instructions and guidance provided by event staff and facilitators.
  • Abide by all local laws, rules, and regulations during the event.

Rim Locals reserves the right to remove any participant from an event for disruptive behavior or violation of the code of conduct without refund or compensation.

3. Event Cancellation and Modifications

  • Rim Locals reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any event due to unforeseen circumstances or low registration numbers.
  • In the event of a cancellation, registered participants will be notified as soon as possible, and if applicable, refunds will be provided in accordance with the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
  • Rim Locals also reserves the right to modify the format, speakers, or schedule of an event as necessary to ensure the best experience for all participants.

4. Event Fees and Payments

  • Any applicable event fees must be paid through the official Rim Locals payment system.
  • Refunds, if applicable, will be issued in accordance with the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
  • Payment for events is non-transferable and non-refundable unless specified in the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

5. Liability Waiver

By attending Rim Locals events, participants acknowledge that they are participating voluntarily and assume full responsibility for any risks associated with event participation, including personal injury, property damage, or any other liability. Rim Locals is not liable for any damages or injuries that may occur during the course of an event, whether in-person or virtual.

6. Intellectual Property and Recordings

  • Participants may not record, photograph, or capture any content from the event without the prior consent of Rim Locals or the event organizer.
  • Rim Locals may record the event for promotional, educational, or archival purposes. By attending the event, participants consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded for these purposes.
  • Any content or materials provided at the event are the intellectual property of Rim Locals or its partners and are protected by copyright laws. Participants may not use, distribute, or reproduce these materials without prior consent.

7. Accessibility and Accommodations

Rim Locals is committed to providing an inclusive experience for all event attendees. If you require any accommodations (e.g., accessibility for disabilities, dietary restrictions), please notify us in advance so we can make necessary arrangements.

8. Confidentiality and Privacy

Participants are expected to respect the privacy of others during events. Personal contact information, business details, or any sensitive information shared during events should not be disclosed or used for marketing purposes without consent.

9. Changes to the Event Policy

Rim Locals reserves the right to update or modify this Event Policy at any time. Any changes to the policy will be communicated to participants, and the updated version will be available on the Rim Locals website.

10. Governing Law

This Event Policy will be governed by the laws of California, USA, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from events hosted by Rim Locals will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in California, USA.

By attending or participating in any Rim Locals event, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the terms of this Event Policy.
